River’s Edge is a natural recreation space providing opportunities for fishing, hiking, bicycling, wildlife viewing and environmental education. The open space required earthwork, landscaping, water and sewer service, rehabilitation of the existing gravel ponds, wetland rehabilitation, restrooms, picnic shelters, trailhead kiosk, new access road and parking lot to allow for public access. Two miles worth of trails were created throughout the site, a wetland boardwalk for an up-close water wild life viewing experience, fishing and float tube access points to all three ponds and an ADA-accessible fishing dock for public enjoyment.
