As part of the City of Arvada’s Healthy Places Initiative to promote Arvada as a healthier place to live, work and play, residents participated in hands-on charrettes with City staff and consultants to influence the design of park improvements. As a result, Homestead Park received fitness equipment, paved loop trail, a new shelter, benches, terraced seating, boulder seating, irrigation adjustments, stone work, lighting, three-sided park kiosk, landscape restoration and new plantings.
