As part of the City of Arvada’s Healthy Places Initiative to promote Arvada as a healthier place to live, work and play, residents participated in hands-on charrettes with City staff and consultants to influence the design of park improvements. As a result, Terrace Park received a fenced micro dog park, three-sided park kiosk, a shade structure, benches, lighting, fitness equipment, a concrete trail with minor concrete walls, improved ADA access route, replacement of curb, gutters and sidewalks, landscape restoration, new plantings and irrigation adjustments.
